comparison of museum quality acrylic

Using museum-quality acrylic

Should you use or not to use museum-quality acrylic? Well, it depends on your situation. We certainly recommend using the premium acrylic when shipping because glass commonly breaks when sent by mail, even if it's packed well.

What's the difference between regular acrylic and museum-quality acrylic?

Why museum acrylic is betterMuseum acrylic vs. glass
The difference is stark. Regular acrylic can get foggy over time, and it's scratches quite easily. The museum-quality acrylic has so many benefits, which include but aren't limited to:

  • Break resistant
  • More transparent (almost invisible)
  • Offers 99% UV protection (so images or paint won't fade)
  • Not as reflective as regular glass or standard acrylic
  • Anti-static
  • Has up to a 100-year life
  • Much more lightweight than standard glass

There are even more benefits than listed here, but these are the most important to the average consumer.
